„Volonteri, fasciniran sam onim što sam video.“ Reče istaknuti umetnik po završetku festivala u svojoj kolumni. Hvala veliko Gospodine Blam! Sada bih da se vratim na početak, pre kraja i novog početka, parafrazirajući sopstveni intervju.

...Već početkom maja smo počeli da radimo intenzivnije volonterski menadžment. Jedan temeljan rad, brojne analize, razgovori, dogovori, zaista se radilo kao i u ostalim segmentima festivala. Analizirali izveštaje sa prethodnih festivala, analizirali celokupnu postavku ovogodišnjeg festivala i utvrdili na kojim pozicijama su nam potrebni volonteri, kako će izgledati volonterski program, koliko volontera nam je potrebno, kako ćemo komunicirati sa volonterima, postavili rokove, uskladili sve sa postojećim zakonom o volontiranju. Svakodnevno smo komunicirali sektorski, ideje su uvek morale da idu u skladu sa mogućnostima kako bi na najbolji mogući način bile sprovedene. Krajem maja smo raspisali javni konkurs i sve učinili da to dobro ispromovišemo, da prijavni formular i konkursne detalje učinimo dostupnim, kao i sve informacije o trajanju samog konkursa i tajmingu dobijanja daljih obaveštenja. Za 49 dana trajanja konkursa za volontere Nišville 2012, obaveštenje o konkursu je stiglo na skoro 28 000 adresa. Za ovogodišnji volonterski tim konkurisalo je 767 kandidata iz 166 gradova, iz 28 zemalja, brojke veće od prethodne dve godine zajedno. Analizirana je svaka pristigla prijava, kandidati koji su prošli prvi krug, koji su zadovoljili osnovne standarde, adekvatno aplicirali, intervjuisani su u Nišu, Beogradu i elektronski. Početkom avgusta smo objavili listu volonterskog tima, sačinjenu od rekordnih 350 volontera i volonterki, raspoređenih u rekordnih 12 sektora, počev od pomoćnika vođe tima preko domaćina publike i muzičara, zatim marketing, pres, radionica, obezbeđenje, logistika, ketering služba, sektor tehničke podrške, do pčelica i bubamara koje su učestvovale u protokolarnom delu i bile zaštitni znak volonterskog tima. Svaki sektor je imao svog tim lidera, ljudi iz organizacionog tima su komunicirali sa koordinatorom volontera, koordinator sa tim liderima, a oni sa volonterima. Malo je gradova Srbije koji nisu imali svog predstavnika na Nišvilu. Dobar odaziv je bio i iz regionalnih jugoslovenskih zemalja. Raduje to da je bilo volontera i iz drugih zemalja, iz Ukrajine, Nemačke, Engleske, Albanije, Rumunije, Turske, Irske...
...Ovo je bio veliki poduhvat. Zaista smo želeli da volontiranje na festivalu dostigne visok nivo, nešto novo za Niš i nesvakidašnje u odnosu na volontiranje na drugim nacionalnim manifestacijama. Osnova za volonterizam Nišville festivala je postavljena pre dve godine. Tada smo uradili onoliko koliko smo tada mogli. Na prošlogodišnjem festivalu je bila generalna proba. Drago mi je da sam i ove godine imao podršku direktora festivala i ostalih iz tima da svoje iskustvo u volonterskom menadžmentu iskoristim, nastavim započeto i postavimo neke standarde. Uspeli smo u tome. Gradonačelnik Niša gospodin dr Zoran Perišić je odlikovao volonterski tim zlatnikom sa likom Cara Konstantina za doprinos promociji grada i razvoju kulture grada. Ovo je istorijski uspeh nacionalnog volonterizma, prvi put da je nekim velikim priznanjem nagrađen neki volonterski tim. Mnogi su istakli dobru organizovanost Nišville volontera. Stizale su pohvale i zadovoljstva što je u gradu napokon viđena celokupna slika volonterizma, stizale su pohvale i zadovoljstva i iz drugih gradova, od strane jazz umetnika, pojedinaca i organizacija koje rade sa volonterima. Bilo je veliko interesovanje i medija za volontersku priču, pisanje i izveštavanje lokalnih i nacionalnih medija. List Pres je objavio tekst sa naslovom „Volonteri rade srcem“, što dovoljno govori i suvišno je bilo šta dodati. Jedan od najpoznatijih džez umetnika Srbije gospodin Miša Blam, prošlogodišnji dobitnik Nišville nagrade za životno delo, u svojoj kolumni za list Danas je istakao da su volonteri značajniji deo vizit karte festivala i opisao ih kao fascinantne. Trudili smo se da volonterski menadžment zadovolji sve potrebe i volontera i festivala, da radimo etapno, ciljano i osmišljeno, da tražimo podršku i uspostavljamo saradnju i sa pojedincima i sa institucijama. Uspeli smo i u tome, hvala svima. Volonteri su upisali sebi treću zvezdicu i prišili jedan zlatnik! Trudićemo se da standarde koje smo postavili i sve ono kvalitetno prenesemo i u narednu godinu. Kako raste festival tako će i volontiranje da raste na samom festivalu. Volonterski menadžment je proces i on mora da teče i sledeće godine da bi dostigli cilj i ostvarili uspeh, svakako će biti lakše sa jakim temeljima. Zadovoljstvo volontera volontiranjem je jako važno, sam program će dobiti inovacije, volonteri će ponovo biti značajna karika festivala. Četvrta zvezdica je blizu! DRAGI VOLONTERI, DRAGE VOLONTERKE neka danas otpočne naredna volonterska priča, zaokružujem prethodnu velikim zadovoljstvom, iskrenom srećom i snažnom voljom da slavim sa vama danas kao volonter. Three stars and one golden coin!

"Volunteers, what I saw fascinated me. " A prominent artist commented at the end of the festival in his column. Thank you very much Mr. Blam! Now I would like to go back to the beginning, before the end and a new beginning, paraphrasing my own interview.
… At the beginning of May ... we started to work on volunteer management intensively. Thorough work, numerous analyzes, conversations, agreements, we really worked like  in other parts of the festival. We analyzed reports from previous festivals,we  analyzed the overall setup of this year's festival and realized the positions where we need volunteers, how the volunteer programe will look like, how many volunteers we need, how are we going to communicate with volunteers, set deadlines, coordinated  everything with the existing legislation on volunteering. We communicated among the sectors on the daily basis, ideas always had to go in accordance with the possibilities, so that they could be carried out the best way possible. At the end of May, we announced a public tender and gave our best to promote it, to make the application form and details of the tender available, as well as all information about the duration of the public tender and the time of obtaining further information. 

In 49 days, the time public tender for volunteers  of Nišville 2012 was opened, news about the public tender itself came to almost 28 000 addresses. For this year's volunteer team 767 candidates from 166 cities in 28 countries competed, the number of the aplicants is bigger than the overal number of the aplicants for the past two years. We analyzed each received application, the candidates who have passed through the first round by fulfilling the basic conditions and appropriately applying, were interviewed in Niš, Belgrade and by electronic means. In early August, we posted a list of volunteer teams, made up of a record numbre, 350 volunteers, devided in a record 12 sectors, starting from the assistant of the team leader, then the host of the audience and musicians, marketing, press, workshops, security, logistics, catering service, tech support sector , the bees and ladybugs that participated in the protocol and were a part of the volunteer team trademark. Each sector had its team leader, people from the organizing team have communicated with the coordinator of the volunteers, coordinator communicated with the team leaders, and those with volunteers. Just a few cities in Serbia did not have their own representative on NIŠVILLE.  A good response came from the ex Yugoslav countries. We are glad that we also had volunteers from countries like Ukraine, Germany, England, Albania, Romania, Turkey, Ireland ...
This ... was a major task. We really wanted to bring the volunteering on the festival to the higher level, something new for Niš and unusual in comparison to other volunteering events on the national level. The basis of volunteering on Nišville festival was set two years ago. Back then we did as much as we could. Last year's festival was a rehearsal. I'm glad that this year as well I had the support of the director of the festival and the rest of the team to use my experience in volunteer management, continue and set some standards. We did it. The Mayor of Niš Mr. Zoran Perišić awarded Volunteer team with a Golden coin depicting Emperor Constantine for teams contribution to the promotion of culture and the development of the city. This is a historic achievement of national volunteerism, the first time that a volunteer team recieved such an important  award. Many people pointed out the good organization of volunteers of Nišville. Satisfaction that finally an overall picture of volunteerism in the city was seen, recognition came from other cities, jazz artists, individuals and organizations that work with volunteers. Both local and national media’s interest in volunteers story was shown through writing and reporting. Newspaper Press ran an article entitled "Volunteers work with their hearts", the title speaks for itself. One of the most popular jazz artists in Serbia, Mr. Miša Blam, last year's winner of Nišville Lifetime Achievement Award, wrote in his column that volunteers are a significant part of the business card of the festival and described them as fascinating. We tried that volunteer management satisfies the needs of volunteers and the festival, to work in stages and seek for the support and establishe the cooperation with individuals and institutions. We have succeeded in that, thank you all. Volunteers, you gained the third star and a golden coin! We will try to keep the standards we once set and everything that was goodfor the coming year. As the festival grows, the volunteering at the festival will grow as well. Volunteer management is a process, and it needs to be done again next year in order to reach goals and achieve success, and it will certainly be easier with a strong foundation we made. It is very important that a volunteer is satysfied by the volunteering. The program will be innovated, volunteers will again be an important element of the festival. The fourth star is near! DEAR volunteers let the nex volunteer story begin today, I’m rounding off the previous story with a great pleasure and with genuine happiness and a strong will I celebrate with you today as a volunteer. Congratulations to all of us on our day and I invite us all to recall the volunteering memories from the past year. HAPPY NEW YEAR VOLUNTEER!
